Okay, so the rain hath not only set in for April showers, it seems it wants to continue for a while yet into mid May which, lets face it, we are all hoping to be seeing the starts of a great British summer by then (yes well we are known for being a nation of unrealistic-optimism, if you want evidence you only have to remember we enter the eurovisionn song contest EVERY YEAR regardless of how many 'null-pois' we get).....ignoring the irony of the hosepipe ban adverts on TV and the side of buses, I embarked on a mini-mission to find reasons that make the continuing crappy rainy weather more bearable!
There are two iconic items intrinsically linked to rainy weather - the umbrella and the wellington boot.
